#OccupyOakland has come under attack from city police, who now appear to be calling in reinforcements from Palo Alto. A protester who did two tours in Iraq is in critical condition with fractured skull and brain injury after a cop shot him in the head with a “non-lethal” weapon. A crowd of protesters were deliberately hit with a flashbang while rendering first aid to an injured protester. Police claimed in a recent press release that “no injuries” have been reported so far.

These are among the most disturbing and criminal acts to be have been proven on the part of U.S. police since NYPD officers were outed as having routinely planted drugs on suspects earlier this month. The time has come to retaliate against Oakland police via all non-violent means, beginning with doxing of individual officers and particularly higher-ups involved in the department’s conduct of late.

Those willing to assist in doxing should send any found materials to transistor@hushmail.com. To work with Anonymous, use an IRC client to join irc.anonops.li #anonops.

I’m offering a $1,000 reward, no questions asked, for the name of the officer who threw a flashbang at the injured Iraqi vet.

Anonymous Hackers Take Down Child Porn Websites, Leak Users’ Names | Cybercrime & Cybercriminals | Internet Crime & Pornography | SecurityNewsDaily

leave a comment »

Members of the Anonymous hacktivist movement are claiming responsibility for taking down more than 40 secret child-pornography websites and leaking the names of more than 1,500 members of one of the illegal sites.

The Anonymous campaign began Oct. 14, when members of the hacktivist group found a cache of child-pornography websites while browsing a secret website called the Hidden Wiki, a guidebook to hundreds of underground websites invisible to search engines and regular Internet users. The hackers singled out Lolita City, a file-sharing site used by pedophiles, and leaked the names of the site’s 1,589 active members to Pastebin on Tuesday (Oct. 18), the Examiner reported.

Member of Anonymous deciding to hack a website whose stance they don’t agree with is by no means shocking news. In the past year, Anonymous-affiliated hackers have gone after the New York Stock Exchange, the Westboro Baptist Church, the Recording Industry Association of America and government sites in Malaysia, Egypt, Tunisia and Zimbabwe.

Anonymous announces Operation Invade Wall Street – National Anonymous | Examiner.com

leave a comment »

As part of their on-going support and sponsorship of Occupy Wall Street, the nebulous and notorious international Internet hacktivist collective known as Anonymous announced a new Operation Monday: Operation Invade Wall Street.

The Anonymous announcement promises that “On October 10th, NYSE shall be erased from the Internet. On October 10th, expect a day that will never, ever, be forgotten.”

Operation Invade Wall Street is scheduled to be a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack targeting the New York Stock Exchange. A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack is an orchestrated attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users, in this case the announced target is the New York Stock Exchange.

Representatives of Anonymous released two separate videos in the last 24 hours – one meant  for the public, and another meant for the media. Both videos articulate a  justification for Operation Invade Wall Street.

Anonymous Vows Cyber-Attacks Wall Street banks

leave a comment »

Hacktivist group Anonymous is planning cyberattacks on Wall Street, “corrupt banking institutions” and the New York City Police Department, in what it called a “Day of Vengeance” this Saturday.

In a statement posted on Pastebin.com, Anonymous indicated its “Day of Vengeance” stemmed from the recent New York City “Occupy Wall Street” demonstration where it claimed police used excessive force to deal with protesters.

“Anonymous and the other cyber liberation groups around the world together with all the freedom loving people in the USA will NOT stand for this. We will peacefully yet forcefully resist the abuses of the NYC Police Department. And so Anonymous announces a nationwide ‘Day Of Venge(a)nce’ to take place in dozens of cities across the USA on Saturday – September 24, 2011 at High Noon,” it said.

USA Day Of Vengence

Communique From Anonymous  –  USA Day Of Vengence

Wednesday – September 21, 2011

On September 17, 2011 approximately 15,000 peaceful demonstrators in dozens of cities around the USA gathered, marched – and occupied public space to protest the unjust policies of the US government and the corruption in our financial institutions. The central protest site was in the financial district of New York City, where peaceful protesters faced phalanxes of heavily armed paramilitary police officers from local and federal jurisdictions. The arrests began almost immediately, many for violating the 1845 so called “mask” laws.

Later that day, and according to plan – many of these protests ended with a peaceful  occupation of public space. Again, the central occupation occurred in NYC. More arrests continued to take place. All of this was expected, it is part of progressive activism. Anonymous was content to challenge these stupid “mask” laws in court. Not only is the Guy Fawlkes mask covered under freedom expression as a symbol of our movement, but we believe that everyone has a right to protest anonymously using bandanas, masks – etc.

But then on Tuesday – September 20, 2011 everything changed in a flash of police instigated violence. As rain began to fall on the NYC encampment, heavily armed police moved in; Removing tarps used to cover media equipment, arresting independent journalists, confiscating media equipment – and using excessive force against and arresting innocent peaceful protesters, several of whom were abused and injured.

This year, we heard President Barack Obama and Secretary Hillary Clinton say over and over in country after country from the Balkans through the mid-east to Africa that the right to peacefully protest and occupy public space is a right that MUST be respected in every instance. And they are correct, and this also applies to the USA. In fact, even more so. In the USA of all countries in the world, the police should have been deployed to PROTECT the protesters – not a giant brass bull that is the ultimate symbol of greed and corruption in America. And yet we were treated to the grotesque picture of dozens of armored police surrounding this brass bull, while thousands more police were deployed solely to harass, arrest – and abuse peaceful protesters.

http://bit.ly/qdvYAj

Anonymous & the other cyber liberation groups around the world together with all the freedom loving people in the USA will NOT stand for this. We will peacefully yet forcefully resist the abuses of the NYC Police Department. And so Anonymous announces a nationwide “Day Of Vengence” to take place in dozens of cities across the USA on Saturday – September 24, 2011 at High Noon.

Video – http://youtu.be/2svRa-VSaOU

In coordination with these protests across the USA on September 24th, Anonymous and other cyber liberation groups will launch a series of cyber attacks against various targets including Wall Street, Corrupt Banking Institutions – and the NYC Police Department. We encourage the media to follow the Twitter feed @PLF2012 for ongoing reports throughout the day.

We Are Anonymous – We Are Everywhere – We Are Legion – We Never Forget – We Never Forgive

Hacking Made Easier, Thanks To User-Friendly Tools : NPR

Time was when it took a fair amount of expertise to launch the kinds of illegal computer attacks that have become the hallmarks of “hacktivist” groups like Anonymous.

Today, just about anyone can download user-friendly software capable of crippling websites. One such tool is LOIC [Low Orbit Ion Cannon], which was used in Anonymous’ attack on MasterCard, Visa and other companies late last year.

It’s rumored that the group will release another weapon, called #RefRef, on Saturday.

How Hacktivism Affects Us All

leave a comment »

Caught up in protests, young social activists are committing online crime.

In December 2010, a group of nearly 3000 activists under the name “Operation Payback” launched online attacks against PayPal, MasterCard, and Visa, briefly knocking the three financial services’ sites offline and preventing consumers from accessing ATMs or online banking services. The activists retaliated against the three companies for severing ties with WikiLeaks, an online repository for whistleblower data that had recently included thousands of secret communications from the U.S. State Department and other world governmental agencies. Nine months later more than a dozen people–most between the ages of 19 and 24–were arrested in connection with these denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, even as new attacks were hitting corporate, military, and government sites worldwide.
